Completed in 1924, this basalt arch on the Arabian Sea is the city's symbolic entry point. The plaza behind it is busy with photographers, balloon sellers and boats heading to Elephanta. The Taj Mahal Palace stands right opposite — together, the most recognizable view in Mumbai.
