About Durgiana Temple
Built in the 1920s and modelled closely on Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana sits in the middle of its own sacred tank, reached by a causeway, with a gilded dome and canopy. It is dedicated to Durga, with shrines to Lakshmi and Vishnu, and is sometimes called the Silver Temple for its ornate silver doors. Considerably quieter than the Golden Temple, which makes it a good place to sit for a while, and the architectural echo is fascinating to see up close.
